RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE

The problem facing the world today is a spiritual problem. The basic message of every sacred scripture is the same (unconditional love). We are not listening and applying the message of the sacred scriptures to our daily lives.

Divine inspiration is the birthright of every human. We are all very special but we don’t believe that because we have been taught that we are unworthy of God. We must change our beliefs about God because our beliefs create behaviors.

Look at our world today. For example, most people do not have an urge to kill...but give them a powerful belief like it is the will of God…his or her attitude toward killing might change.Belief systems can be altered either by enlarging upon them or changing them completely.

God and Life are the same thing. God is the energy we call Life. Life is the energy we call God. God is physically expressed as Life. One cannot say that he believes in Life but not in God. That is like saying one believes in the brain but not the mind. You can see and touch the brain though you cannot see and touch the mind. Yet, it is the mind that allows you to contemplate the brain. The brain is the physical representation of the mind.

OUR PRESENT BELIEF SYSTEM ABOUT GOD
- God needs something from us
- God requires us to meet his needs
- God will destroy us if we don’t meet his needs

OUR PRESENT BELIEF SYSTEM ABOUT LIFE
- Human beings are separate from each other
- Humans must compete for limited “stuff”
- Some are better than other human beings

- It is appropriate to resolve differences by killing

We have fashioned God in the image and likeness of human beings. Therefore, we must restructure our current belief system about God.

The overriding desire of humankind is peace. “Peaceful” is what we are. Being is an expression of the soul and mind while doing is an expression of the body. We must get out of heads and into our hearts. The heart is the bridge between the mind and soul. We experience
communion with God in our hearts. We must practice tolerance in religion and must not be exclusive.

Believe as you wish but do not impose your views on others by force or through any other means. God gave us all free will. God is a God of love. Love begets its own allegiance, but fear rejects it.
