WHAT IS DELIVERANCE?
Deliverance also called exorcism in the mainstream culture, is rescue from spiritual and emotional captivity, hardship, or domination by evil forces. It is the return to stillness, wholeness, and unity of mind, body and spirit. Deliverance is usually used by Christians who pray intensely on behalf of the person needing deliverance and the Holy Spirit and/or angels comes and does the work on behalf of the person.
There is solid scriptural backing for the ministry of deliverance in the Christian world.
- Jesus commanded it.

-Jesus practiced it.
(Mk. 2:2-20, Matt. 8:28-34, Matt.9:32-33, Matt. 12:22, Lk. 11:14, Matt. 15:22-29, Mk. 7:25-30, Matt. 17:14-18, Mk. 9:17-27, Lk. 9: 37-42, Mk. 1:23-26, Lk. 4:33-35, Mk. 16:9, Lk. 8:2-3, Matt. 8:30-32, Matt. 4:24, Matt. 8:16, Mk. 3:22, Lk. 4:41)
From these many scriptures and the many more unrecorded instances Jn 21:25, it is obvious that Jesus spent a great deal of time ministering deliverance to the possessed. Lk. 4:18 and Acts 10:38

-Paul practiced it (Acts 16:16-18, Acts 19:12)
