A TYPICAL DELIVERANCE SESSION
REQUIREMENT FOR THE PERSON RECEIVING DELIVERANCE
There are several requirements the person requesting deliverance must have if the deliverance session is going to be productive:
1. A desire to be free
2. A willingness to faithfully fill out the questionnaire and other relevant forms
3. A willingness to be converted and start living for God
4. A willingness to forgive others
5. A willingness to keep the spirits out
6. A willingness to abide by post-deliverance instructions
QUALITIES OF A GREAT DELIVERANCE WORKER
The deliverance worker must be born again.
(2 Tim. 2:6, Psa. 50:16, Lk. 6:39)
If a man is to be used of God, his life must be clean not only his outward life as the world sees it, but his inward secret life as it is known only to God and to himself.
The deliverance worker must:
--Have a sound growing relationship with Jesus Christ in prayers, fasting, and the Bible
--Have a working knowledge of the scriptures
(Matt. 4: 4, 7, 10)
--Be filled with and sensitive to the leading and the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
--Have a genuine interest in helping people
--Have patience with people
--Have wisdom
THE PLACE OF DELIVERANCE
1. Must be private yet unquestionable
2. Must be a safe place where the one being prayed for cannot get hurt
3. Must have adequate supply of tissue
4. Must have waste paper basket and a waste bucket for vomit
5. Must have chairs for the one being delivered and the ones offering prayer
TIPS FOR THE DELIVERANCE WORKER
1. It will be helpful if those prayed for complete legal waiver and questionnaire forms
2. From the questionnaire, you will be able to determine where the person is spiritually
3. Go through the scriptures that will help the person's faith in God
4. Lead the person in prayer, confession of sins, forgiveness and the renunciation of evil
5. Led by God's spirit and information, go after the spirits one by one

5. Rotate the team members so as to give them time to rest
6. Restrain those with violent manifestations to avoid injury
7. Sit directly in front or beside the person being prayed for
8. Never close your eyes
9. Exercise compassion
10. Speak in a calm voice
11. Look the person in the eyes
12. Decide whether to touch the person or not
13. Never interrupt another worker
14. Several workers should not cast out several spirits at the same time
15. Do not believe everything the spirits tell you, rely heavily on the Holy Spirit
16. Sometimes a second deliverance session is necessary
17. The fact that manifestations have stopped does not mean that deliverance is complete
